Creating Impactful Edits

As Lead Video Editor at Huda Beauty, I personally edited the brand’s most high-visibility projects. This includes every global and social campaign, product launch videos, commercials, and billboards.

Easy Bake Duos: Huda x Huda

One of my proudest moments of my career is co-writing, co-directing, and editing Huda Beauty's most viral social campaign for the Easy Bake Duos launch. This campaign went mega viral and was very well recieved across social platforms.

One of my favourite parts of creating this video was researching how to craft moments that could live beyond the campaign and one of them was noticing the shift in TikTok comments of using reaction pictures and gave the fanbases this imagery to use beyond the campaign to increase visibility:

Kalamantina Jelly Oil

I edited the Huda Beauty x Saint Levant campaign video to promote the Kalamantina Jelly Oil where all proceeds were donated for relief in Gaza.

Huda wanted to pivot from a regular performance video to something more dynamic, so I turned this entire video around in 2 days. This includes the assembly, the motion graphics, the graphic design, sound design, and rotoscoping throughout.

This video was very well recieved and was featured by many media outlets including Vogue, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, and many more.

Re-inventing the Editing style

A big part of my role as Lead Video Editor at Huda Beauty was re-inventing the editing style and elevating it, then training a team of in-house editors to elevate their edits.

Easy Blur Hype Video

I created this viral edit with UGC content of the reviews for Huda Beauty's Easy Blur Foundation Launch and it was our first edit in the new editing style; evolving it slowly to not lose the audience but starting a whole new way of approaching the storytelling of the edits.

When Easy Blur launched, the internet reviews were divided, so I scripted and edited this video as a way to respond to the discussion and it went very viral, making it the top performing edit for the brand, ever.

Setting Spray Launch Trailer

Slowly but surely, I created the "Launch Trailer" video style where I merged my film background with my commerical/marketing tasks to create product launch videos that felt like movie trailers with really dynamic, engaging and fast-paced storytelling.

Huda Beauty's Rebrand Docuseries

The biggest challenge was the very fast turnarounds and the producers having to film on the go in between the founder’s extremely busy schedule. Despite the heavy quality constraints, I managed to create something engaging through the editing and storytelling in post-production that really resonated with the brand’s community.
